She keeps military time
in a note book where she writes.
Every second,
Every first
Neatly scrawled across a lineless page.
Every coming, every going
interlaced with fantasy.
All the things she wanted
and the things she didn’t want to be.
Changing, shifting moments
in her own reality.
Keeping military time;
documented, precisely.
I keep military time.
Document her every move.
Delusions and confusions.
Precise reports on
precisely lined pages.
We keep military time
in parallel unison,
to each action, a reaction.
Our physics so precise
Every moment, every minute,
every second, every first.
In the notebook of her life;
two copies, incomplete.
