Crumbling Leaf

A brownish-orange leaf crumbles into pieces;
once vibrant sun glowed through it like stained glass.
Now its fragility evokes feelings of death.
Fall's chilly breath sucked this leaf's life-blood;
a vampire of the season consumes leaves' lives.
A tear flows down my cheek and falls upon this victim.
Soon the leaf will crumble into nothing.
