It's Our Destiny

Contributed by MoonlitAngel on Friday, 12th July 2002 @ 06:35:55 AM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

I felt alone, I felt separated
From the best thing in my life
I felt ignored, I felt like no one cared
I feared I was losing you
And I can't lose you, because I need you
To be happy, to belong
I'm sorry I didn't say anything
Till it got the best of me
I couldn't hide it, I started to cry
And you made it all okay

I never knew you felt the same way
So let's keep the promise made
I'm sure that it'll come around again
We'll all feel a little scared
Scratch that, we'll feel completely terrified
We love and need each other
And that's why we can get through anything
Coz we're there for each other
We never have to go through life alone
And nothing means more to me

I've never known comfort like this before
Such perfect equality
Or received just as much love as I gave
Never felt so protected
What I've got is what life is all about
Guess you could call me lucky
And you can definitely call me blessed
I mean everything I say
I'll write "Friends Forever" in stone for you
I know it's our destiny
