Grief

The Lord looked down upon him and said your time has come.
It's time to set you free for a good race my child you've run.
Come into my presence,I'll dry your eyes and calm your pain.
Come and rest within my glory on streets of gold for to remain.
I know your hearts are burdened and you find it hard to stand.
Just know that he's in Heaven walking with Jesus hand in hand.
I know he's up there smiling with the largest grin upon his face.
He shines with the light of Jesus,Fully surrounded in his grace.
His final days were hard but he faced each one like a real man.
He stood strong through it all,In the face of death he never ran.
He will be deeply missed,A part of our heart has died with him.
He lives on within our memories,He must hold tightly to them.
When we're absent from the body we're with the Lord.No more to roam.
He is with the Heavenly Father,To his presence he has gone home.

Very good. You capture the emotion and sentiment really well. Nicely done. |
