Metallic Leaves

Contributed by lesoleilnoire on Friday, 20th August 2010 @ 07:51:04 PM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

Not quite Summer or Fall,
unique leaves shine metallic and bright in the daylight.
Summer leaves are green with life;
fall leaves are colourful before free-falling from life.
Shiny silver leaves dance and sparkle in the breeze;
nature's tinsel shimmers like jewelry on a tree.
This metallic tree mesmerizes me;
Sterling silver leaves hypnotize as branches
wave back and forth on nature's command.

A mesmerizing poem. Full of such beautiful, well-described images. I especially liked this line:

'fall leaves are colourful before free-falling from life.'

Made me think of pictures I've seen of the fall in Vermont, something I've always wanted to see for myself.
