Your Distance

Decisions made between our hearts
have led to separation
I always thought we had a spark
but now just desparation
Distance arose from ignorance
while love began to diminish
spark was out, lost its brilliance
both our hearts, now blimished
Want a towel to warm your shoulder?
Or a jolt to start your heart?
A piece of ice can't get much colder
than how it feels when we're apart.
While together hearts erode
and apart, an empty day
within you my hearts abode
can't back down, not today.
Addicted to your heartbeat
Inflicted by your grace
The closer i get, you retreat
without giving me time of day.
