A dark shade of blue

Contributed by Daniellemarie on Saturday, 14th August 2010 @ 01:02:36 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I pull the curtains closed again to embrace
a darker shade of me. Deep sea blue is
what I am, the darkest shade of blue I have
ever known. I play with my razorblades
and pop one too many, only to wake up
alive and still acheing from a wound
deep, deep, inside of me. A wound that
never really heals. I open up old cuts,
and make fresh ones as I go along.
As long as this heart of mine still beats per minute
I will never be relieved.

A poem that holds a lot of emotion. You describe it well.
