My Mother...

Contributed by Febin on Thursday, 12th August 2010 @ 04:38:55 AM in AEST
Topic: FamilyPoems

My life had begun,
As I came into this world.
And there was a lady,
Waiting from the past nine months –
To bless me as her baby son.
Yes, it was my mother.
The mother with heart full of love –
Full of love, Just for her baby son.

She looked after me day and night.
She put me on her shoulder
As she tapped me on my back she said –
“Sleep my baby son.”
She spent many sleepless nights,
While I had fallen ill.
She placed a kiss on my cheek and said,
“Do not fear my baby son,
For I am here for you.”

And now I started growing up.
She always had her love for me
So, whenever I had made a mistake
She would come and make sure
That I was right the next time.
But I would not listen to her
Cos now I thought what ‘I’ did was right.
And she swiftly approached me,
To love me the way she had always done,
But, I started avoiding her.

The love of a mother is one that’s eternal –
One which never dies
She stood there with tearful eyes and said,
“Whatever you do or whatever you say,
You are always my baby son.”
That’s the heart of my mother –
No, the heart of every mother.
Their love for us is what makes them
‘Best from the Rest’

It’s still not late
She’s there standing
With her arms wide open
And heart full of love telling –
“Come my baby son,
For I am here for you”

This beautiful tribute to your mother shows your realization. What more can a mother aspire than see this realization in her child. Best wishes.
