This anger courses through my veins,
Vibrating, burning hot and red.
But there's something to be said
For hatred and its loathsome power
To bend one's will in a would-be finest hour.
And lust, man's most tempting weakness--
How can it not cause a saint to fall
On his knees, begging for relief?
No fury, no fight,
Just another sinner in cleric's clothes pretending everything's right.
Thus the fire is quenched, the burning complete--
We needed a better end, you and me.

Hate and lust can definitely get the best of us, can it not? Both sometimes fuel us to do things we may do on an ordinary day. Definitely an interesting way of putting it into words. Nicely done.
