Ode To A Sentry Pod

I thought we were just having fun.
Just a friendly experiment.
I thought we were getting to know each other really well.
"There you are!" I say with joy.
When I saw your blood and you smiled.
Your smile is nice. I wish I could do that, smile I mean.
its hard for me to smile now. Since you broke my heart.
"Are you still there?" I ask.
Nothing, I heard and saw nothing and no one.
But you were just here, you must be hiding.
"Is anyone out there? Can you come over here?"
Still nothing. "target lost."
I mutter to myself as I realized that you've left me alone. Again.
Alone and by myself, I cannot move without you here.
I am just a lifeless Chell with you gone.
I feel gravity fail and I lift off the ground
"Who are you?!"
"Is that you?!"
"Please put me down"
"Ow ow ow ow ow"
"Hey! Its me!"
"It burns... shutting down"
I have one last thought as I lay down to rest for a final time,
..........
"I don't blame you"
