Alex Stewart: Fool & Angel
and I wondered if you liked me,
if you felt some small affection, or
had a hint of wondering to
tilt in that direction
and I pined for your attention,
a glimmer of attraction, in a smile
or a gesture that would justify
my actions
and I thought about you constantly,
in the breath of every minute, as I
fantasised about my life if
you were somewhere in it
but you never were the answer,
as I never asked the question;
and all I’ve got for comfort
are the rags of my obsession.

This is very well worded, you weave your poem around the imagination of the reader,
look forward to more. |

Hi,
Terrific style and rhythm and some classic succinct
one-liners. No unnecessary words used here,
everything led quite brilliantly to that last line ......
'are the rags of my obsession.'
Nice one Spikers!
