As free as a bird on a wire.
The rain keeps falling,
but I will not tire.
As my heart pumps hard I take flight.
The clouds are thick,
but I will see the light.
As free as a bird I go higher.
My lungs gasp for air,
my feathers perspire.
As my wings push me through the sky.
The wind is against me,
but still I will fly.

| Fantastic use of imagery, and it makes me think of a coming of age story. Overcoming lifes' hurdles and just not giving up. Great ending! |
