Heroin

Topic: LoveRemembered

The truth finally floats to the surface all in a glimpse the world around me changed... The one i was true to the one who had my heart from when our eyes met had taken my heart out of my chest and stabbed it furiously with a knife as i watch. He finally stopped and my chest was left empty and my soul left to walk the earth in empty foot steps. His lips were my drug it was something i craved and longed for when they touched mine the world around me was a blur all to see and feel was warmth and love, something true.I felt safe in his arms when he would wrap them around me when we fell asleep as he whisper in my ear, 'I love you' i fall asleep in a peacful manner.I think to myself i am the luckiest girl alive to have such care and love. Everygirls dream and desire. I say to myself this is too good to be true... its not real... i go on in doubt. I will never let this feeling go away i will hold onto it and do anything i need to do to get it you are my heroin when i get my hit i feel good, to let you out of my life is like getting off drugs im locked up in a room sweating, heart racing, teeth grinding, itching for a taste of my drug. I'll hurt, kill and steal for you just to make this feeling go away...If i knew what the drug would do to me from day one i wouldnt have tried it. To suffer so severly is to take my life away. Id put the gun to my head and pull the trigger but that would be pointless for i am already dead... you killed me along time ago.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
