Other Than Myself

We were trained to dream, dreams
we were occupying empty seats
we spent all we bargained for
a little less took so much more
No-one can tell me it's alright
I'd rather be anyone other than myself
I'd rather be alone
but somehow I always end up lonely
No-one can tell me it's alright
No-one can tell me it's alright
We tried to join the rats in the race
we couldn't keep up the pace
we saw the glass as half full
I'm not too sure anymore
(love like you've never been hurt
work like you don't need the money
dance like no-one's watching)
