The door slams shut with tears in his eyes but I cannot change
cannot go back or take it back cannot see myself anywhere
but a small dark hole full of loneliness God will send me there a place
I said I need a place but why should they offer me anything when I have
slammed all those doors with no small glee and now they are saying
yes and Greece and really I say really but I am only here to rake the
leaves why would I say no I have nothing I never wanted this only so badly
that I know I'll wreck it I'll disappoint you more tears in his eyes but this time
no rabbit-hole or cake-walk I sing freak songs to myself all the way
there but it is not in their eyes never in their pierced hands only in my own
ravaged heart that I don't belong here everything's changing turning upside
down and I am part of it astonished to find that I am healing.
