Waltzing in darkness to the heartbeats of wooden marionettes, The child's dream

Contributed by NovemberMayhem on Tuesday, 3rd August 2010 @ 11:19:55 AM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

Turn off the light and close the door
So I can better see your face.
The light in your eyes is blinding me
But I can not look away.
The moon casts shadows in the dark
Reflecting, portraying your perfect bone structure
Your kiss is full, and deep, and warm.
The darkness is not the true evil
In this world...
In this world...

Mirror, Mirror on the wall,
Who is the fairest of them all?
Is it the heart that is learning to love
Or the eyes that will never truly see?
Counting in three-four time
Our hearts keeping tempo, they're beating the rhythm
For love is blind, and binding like music
Dancing the Waltz of the Wicked

For love is unkind, and binding like puppet strings
Dancing the Waltz of the Wicked

Turn off the light and close the door
The puppeteer can't see the strings in here
Few know they exist, even in the dim light
They glow as we dance in longing.
Our eyes adjust to the darkness and now
The light is a white-hot pain in our lives
I'll hide my darkness, my love, in your eyes
For no one will think to look here
In this world...
In this world...

Mirror, Mirror on the wall,
Who is the fairest of them all?
Is it the puppets who glide 'cross the floor
Or the hands that cannot completely control?
Counting in three-four time
Our hearts keeping tempo, they're beating the rhythm
For love is blind, and binding like music
Dancing the Waltz of the Wicked

For love is unkind, and binding like puppet strings
Dancing the Waltz of the Wicked

Your words truely paint a picture. My favorite part: "Counting in three-four time/ Our hearts keeping tempo, they're beating the rhythm/ For love is blind and binding like music."

Beautifully written.

Nice. And this was my favorite;

'I'll hide my darkness, my love, in your eyes
For no one will think to look here'
