Her eyes bequeath a vivacity of life
Piercing beauty, to souls they will sing
Vanquished adulation seemingly rife
Bringing her love on a broken wing
Glorious is this heart, which still lives
Perforated and empty, drained of all
Dreaming of a moment, that one gives
As waiting for the desert rains to fall
Prison is the sleep with dreams that wait
Pause be given, to the divan of want
Needs fulfilled by moments and fate
What could’ve been will enduringly haunt
So grand, the passion I would drink of thee
To run to which from that we flee

So eloquently worded and with your choice words you have stirred up vivid imagery. I love the last two lines, and this:
...Bringing her love on a broken wing... |

I loved this. Especially: "Glorious is this heart, which still lives/ Perforated and empty, drained of all/ Dreaming of a moment, that one gives/ As wating for the desert rains to fall."
Great imagery.
