Marble angels that never fly
shadow babies that never cry.
Broken stone, tilted rock
speak of family in their shock.
Yawning hole in the ground
screams of volume without sound.
Decaying graves speak a tale
of grief and its healing wail.
This could happen anytime
lest be old or in prime.
So be careful where you walk
for you never know when the road will fork.

Great poem :) I love the last couplet. Some of the lines are a little awkward but you'll probably smooth them out when you revise. Good job overall. |
