A Time to Die

Contributed by Sasha on Monday, 2nd August 2010 @ 07:26:28 AM in AEST
Topic: ambiguous

This seems to be a good time to die
I could pass on easily into another time
Wait by the shadows for a while, alone
To come back for just once more for him

I could kiss death’s cold lips in elation
Walk away from all this with indifference
But then we walked in here to meet again
And I lost my reason for everything

Is he late, or is it me?
He is on every moon-kissed night of late
Washing over me, over and over
Another lifetime, yet another greedy reach

And he thinks I cant love
He wouldnt guess the truth I hold
He wakes up slowly though, opening to us
And then its time for me to leave

Insane life, who said its fair
One kiss of my poisonous love
And he would surrender
But this is love and I have to care

Left to me, I wouldn’t hold
But take him and bleed him in surrender
Spinning dreams like my magic
Claim him until he leaves with me

He calls me an angel, he drinks my spell
In all his innocence he dies a hundred deaths
But I cant leave till he goes with me
I kill him till he bleeds in my love…

A very mysterious quality to this.
Some really inspiring lines that conjure up incredible images in the mind.
I'm glad I didn't allow this one to slip under my radar, it was worth the read.

Steve
