Always thought I was crazy,
until I felt the clouds
as I fell towards
the false embers
of time
Never thought I could save me,
until I turned around,
and saw salvation
was but me,
hidden
In this pool of napalm I
thought myself a lone spark,
but the real time-bomb
was opening my eyes,
stabbing myself with a telescope,
and finally being able to see…
I am no sheep playing wolf,
but wolf playing sheep.
Today I wake up and forget a dream
to take up myself
I have been un-blinded
and feel so much sand has fallen for no motive
but I would have it no other way
for only today,
I am strong enough not to carry,
but to enjoy the foreign pain
of me.
And now every pair of eyes no longer commands
but obeys.
Soul and body become subject to swallowing my bitter pill,
or turning away,
to me, it no longer matters
who stares
and who smiles
that magnet,
of judgment, unchallenged,
is gone forever, ripped from flesh i’ve rend,
and shackles overcome I rise to undo the stitches on my lips
and grow spikes where old wounds once thrived with pain and regret,
where he kneeled now stand I, and I will not be silent, I will fight back
always thought I would crash,
ever looking down
Too blinded by the well’s bottom
to look up at myself
and realize,
I grew wings a long time ago,
but only now I dare to use them…
