The Purest Melody

Contributed by Lia on Thursday, 17th April 2003 @ 10:35:00 AM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

In this life I sing a song
A melody of bliss
I capture all the chirping birds
And put them in my pocket
I hold the howling of the wind
Close inside my heart
I run through whistling tides of blue
My feet enjoy the rush
Breathing in the gurgling brook
Rasping through my lungs
The beating of the spring raindrops
Sneak in through dampened hair
But in my life there's been only once
I sang a song so pure
As days go by I can only listen
To the harmony of a baby

Lia,

As usual your words come from and touch the soul.

Great write.
