For Days Still Yet to Be

So you've rested, so you've slept
So you've stumbled day to day
Raise your heart and lift your head
There's someone waiting down the way
Don't forget your reservations
When you toss them in the trash
All those hours slowly burning
Pictures sear and turn to ash
Feeling cold? I've been there too
Where nothing ever feels quite right
Yet this I know (and you do too):
There's something follows from the night
So look around and take it in
Sure, fret about your fears
No matter what, the morning sun
Will softly dry your tears
Forgive me if I seem a fool
To those with wizened eyes
I've only now just found my path
Stretched thin across the skies
Consider this a eulogy
For days still yet to be
For lovers found and truth renowned
And prisoners set free
