you churn. . . a wingless distortion of an ancient ache
a pale diversity of expression
how might I cradle thee?
soften your existence, your delicate in-differences?
silk looms. . . wearily
you will not leave the dust
& so it lovingly becomes your bones. . .
a calx of consciousness resounds with voice & verse. . .
& remnants exhaled into the void
become forgiveness for the trembling god-fingers
that pluck & poke & preen
emotion slips, sultry, between skin & skull. . .
frustration flutters. . .
delusion dances among myth
& time scatters ashes of innocence. . . poetry spills
from that deep, still center
we swallow creases. . .
become fractal. . . bleed sepiatic tendencies
fleeing this well worn ambition
the dark scape of our enchanted escape
a lost craving. . .
your frailty whispers softly. . .
& shudders beneath my blossoming lips

Oh Elle dear, I used to sit for hours as a child and watch this formation take place. I used to wish that I too could spin a beautiful cacoon. You've done this with this lovely poem Elle.........Good for you!
Warm love

Witness my mind shatter into a blackened sun,
twinkling shards of glass wings; liberated,
save for the dust and webs that still cling faithfully...
What a delicious read. It all rings with a familiar softness and dream-like quality. Elegantly fragmented, and yet the pieces form something whole and elusive when melted together with the proper flame. This is absolutely gorgeous. I am curious as to what your inspiration was so that I can look to it, lol. The last two stanzas wrapped it up beautifully.
Warm Regards,
~S.
