i am small and i am insignificant.
i am a grain of sand in an hourglass.
i am one amongst the millions you see
who represent seconds as they pass.
i can hear the others tumble slowly
picking up speed right before they drop;
an endless stream of a steady beat
like rapid gunfire refusing to stop
and i see them succumb, one by one,
like soldiers collapsing during battle
and i cannot help but to wonder
when it's my turn to fall will i matter...
our passings have all been prearranged
and time will eventually get to us all
but will anyone remember that moment,
that exact second, in which i did fall?
some get sucked down against their will,
others are content to go with the flow,
but by watching those ahead expire
i have decided how i choose to go.
i choose to go quietly but not in silence
and though i contest i will not fight.
i will not choose to just simply 'exist'
but to live my life to deaths despite.
true i am only a grain of sand
that is trapped within an hourglass
but in accepting all of what i am
i ensure remembrance when i pass.
I am small and I am insignificant.
I am one amongst the millions you see.
I will not go without letting you know
This moment would not exist without ME.

Yvonne, another beautifully constructed image. I really believed your tiny grain of sand
in the flow of life. We are all of us brought about by an incredible series of coincidences
but the direction in which we go is not random. |

The coincidences are not random....we make the decisions which ultimately decide or destiny...
