I look and see the biggest problems in life
And you know it makes me sad
But now I'm making myself aware of the tiniest joys in every day life
Like the smile on a little kids face, or
The fireman who takes pride in his job
The elder couple walking hand in hand, still full of love
The smiles shared from a simple gesture of kindness
The happiness gained from a conversation with a stranger
These are the things that
Give me hope
And it gives me a sort of happiness that glows from the inside
I can't help but grin and think,
Life is beautiful
With its ups and downs
Smiles and frowns
Life really is what you make of it
And now I've found that's all I need

Ah, nicely put. You realise that the simple things in life are the best, when some people who have it all, are unhappy because the're always wanting more. Read your poem and they might just change their outlook. Well said!
Take care, Chris. |
