I am Rock

In my younger days as sand and pebble
I was moved by winds of change
and currents of society,
but no more...
for I am rock.
Be it sunrise or sunset,
burning heat of youth or freezing cold of death
I sit with obstinance of age and the ambivalence of slowing passions.
For I am ROCK.
Slowly maturing,
being ground into my foundation by the weight of the future,
the burdens of the present,
and my crushing antipathy for the past,
for I am rock.
As I grow old as father mountain,
the younger generation and the parasites dig out my gems of emotion
that have coalesced by pressure of experience and time,
to veins of...
Golden Wisdom, Silver Clarity, and Red Rubies of pure LOVE
