I Just Can’t
You want me to let you back in,
To my heart, my home, my bed.
You want me to just forget,
Every hurtful thing you said.
You want me to pretend,
That my heart could never break,
You want me to forget,
That all you ever did was take.
You want me to laugh off,
All the things you do to make me cry,
You want me to explain,
All my reasons why.
You want me to forgive,
All the times you scream and rant.
You want me to….
But, I just can’t.
