SEARCH ME
You know my heart and the words on my lips before I speak.
I am amazed!
You see my mind and feed my tired spirit.
I am enthralled!
You hold my hand and plant my feet.
I am grateful!
You cradle my head and provide warmth.
I am protected!
You reach to my soul and grab it tightly.
I am needy!
You feel my pain. You have been there.
I am connected!
You fill my empty vessel and push me forward.
I am anxious!
You made me in the “secret place” and breathed life.
I wonder why!
You gave me being of a mother and a father.
I often think why them?
You have the answers.
I need not know; I need not fear!
You wanted me for a time “such as this”!
I am humbled!
You search me, Oh, God.
“I am fearfully and wonderfully made!
You hold the Book and open the pages.
I see my name and I am thrilled!

This is beautiful.
I will admit that most often I don't like poetry in this category here. I can't remember the exact reference or quote but the gist was that Jesus didn't want people to fear him, so basically don't send turn people away from his belief. With that said, this is what frequently happens with some that post in this category. Not so with yours. Yours is exactly the way I would believe Jesus would have wanted him to be written about.
Great job and thank you,
Tim |
