Sinking In
In some ways it's just too much.
Out of reach and out of touch.
Colorless memories no longer do.
Somehow I thought the answer would lie in you.
Traveling hard, so very far, across these lands,
Deserts are all they are.
I'm so deep inside.
Sun forever shines leaving me nowhere to hide.
For so long I've been here living on the water and the fear.
Keeping calm...and staying strong.
I've been finding only healing in the things you thought I did wrong.
Sink or swim, I'm still underneath.
One day you'll see, finally.
Faces above looking down, only to stare.
They're screaming so loud, but saying nothing.
Should I even care?
You strike and recoil every time.
I try to run...I really try.
I keep running, but you keep chasing, but why?
