What Happened

What happened to the Christians from the days of old?
The ones that stood for Jesus and without a thought for self stood bold.
I miss God's true prayer warriors who would kneel down in the street,
And say a prayer for lost souls that they would never meet.
What happened to the preachers who taught God's word as it should be?
The ones who followed God and really cared and led his sheep.
What happened to the love of God,Why do we not show it anymore?
God's love is still around us so what are we waiting for?
There's no more time to play,It's time for God's people to return.
Jesus is the only way, give all to him or you will burn.
Fall down to your knees,Pray to God,Search for his grace.
We need to get prayed up so let us fall upon our face.
Give God all his glory,Represent his well and walk by faith.
Live your life by the Lord's example,Avoid Hell's burning fate.
Do not talk about each other,Do you think Jesus talked that way?
Put your feet within his shoes,What would Jesus say?
He says take up your cross,Follow him,Be free from sin.
You will not get to Heaven if this world remains your friend.
Fill your heart with love that does not judge and always cares.
Lead lost souls with your Father's love,Represent him everywhere.
I know this world is troubled,There is temptation all around,
And in this day and age TRUE Christians are rarely found.
We need to go back to the old ways,Let them know that we are here.
If God's people all took a stand you would see Satan's army tremble in fear.
So let's go back to the old days,Stomp on the Devil,For Jesus stand strong.
Praise him in the streets,Let them know the TRUE Christians were here all along.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
