Tap that vein for one more rush
A brightening memory, a nightmare so lush
I try to grab the words that are just out of reach
And I try to find the outlet, find the boundary to breach

As I tap into emotions and the darkness comes around
Watch the terror in the memory; hear the scream without the sound
Feel the fury in the hatred, as the senses come alive
Start the engine of creation, motivation in the drive

Feel the season change inside me from the warm onto the cold
And the scars crack to the surface, all the new ones and the old
And I feel the demons rising, like a painful memory
That nightmare remembered, the tears angrily
Come rushing back and the sound and the fury and anger and pain
Then the fix is complete, and the cold dark rain
Of despair and isolation fall upon my sorrowed ground
As I dig the grave of past events, the bitterness I’ve found

And you will know me by the scars upon my mind
And I will know you by what you leave behind…

Wow, very well written.
And congrats, you're one of the few poets out there that rhyme in a poem, and still make it sound good to me.
That's rare, so you've accomplished something, my friend.
You have talent, and don't let anyone tell you different.
I look forward to reading more of your work,
And I wish you the best for whatever you choose to do with your writing talent.
Keep writing, and have a great day! (:

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
