Is a child who left too soon
Who broke to watch the secrets glow
In darkness the blind never saw
Is the adult too soon
Who moved right in with family
To which it never belonged,
A transplanted tree branch
From a different seed
Is the never adolescent who thought
She could find home away from home
But eyes-crossed stargazer,
What are you looking for?
Home as you know it
Is a boat stretched thin
On a great big stormy sea
Home as it should be
Well, how would you know?
Is the afflicted from an infection
Spreading from household to household
Ruining all the crops,
Setting fire to all the trees
All unintentionally on purpose
