To My Wife

I really miss you,Honey,I wonder where you are right now.
I thought you had left me,without your clothes I don't see how.
I have been through some strange things in the few days you've been gone.
Saturday and Sunday I sat here hoping you'd call me on the phone.
Joey burnt his house down then with a gun took his own life.
Sam told me he finally snapped because he couldn't find his wife.
Nobody knows what's happened except that it seemed to be worldwide.
The news is saying not to panic and that we must remain inside.
Some say it's the return of Christ that was mentioned in the Bible.
The President says it's all a hoax and that the Church should be held liable.
I listened to what he said and starting thinking to myself.
Of all the Christians I knew before not a single one is left.
I've seen a few people who attended Church but even I knew they were fake.
They went just to be seen there,They worried not for their souls fate.
The graveyards have been vandalized,Coffins ripped out of the ground.
When the police inspected them there were no bodies to be found.
There was chaos all around but someone has showed up to bring peace.
Some say he's the Anti Christ and have nicknamed him the beast.
He's calls him self Messiah and thinks he is the chosen one.
He is killing all the Christians so to the Mountains we have run.
God's Temple's been rebuilt,This guy sits there like a king.
These poor lost souls worship him with sacrifices that they bring.
These people have been implanted with a chip known as The Mark.
Without is you cannot buy food,Stores will not let you even park.
I wish that I had listened to Jesus and turned my life over to Him.
I had the chance to avoid the sight of this world turning so grim.
They have been arresting Christians,I've seen them led away in chains.
They torture and they kill them,I have heard their cries of pain.
Yesterday they brought in a man with his kids and wife.
After hours of screams and torture they burnt their bodies to end their life.
I have been in jail two months and have not had food in five.
To prolong my suffering is the only reason I'm still alive.
For about two weeks they came at me to take The Mark and give him praise.
In front of them I'd go to my knees and to Jesus my hands I would raise.
I have taken many beatings in here and for Jesus I'd take many more.
This is what I deserve for hearing him knock and never answering the door.
A guard just told me,I'd been sentenced to die,To see Jesus I'd no longer wait.
He said if I had taken The Mark I could have avoided this horrible fate.
I said ,to die for Christ is to truly live,I will soon see My Savior's Face.
But before I die I will pray for you that in Heaven you will have a place.
Yes,They tortured me,cut off my head and here I sit on these Streets of Gold.
I know you tried to explain God to me but his true glory can never be told.
To all of the people still living today there's only one thing I have to say.
The Rapture is coming and Out OF The East Jesus will soon call his children away

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
