If...

Contributed by R.G.Love on Friday, 2nd August 2002 @ 07:50:07 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

If I could be a fly on your wall,
then, I might learn, what it takes, to win your love.
If I could be the Sun's, beaming, beauteous rays,
then, I could caress you, all through the light of day.
If I could be that lipstick, applied to your lips,
then, I might know, those lips, what it's like to kiss.

If my elements were that of a magnet's, then, I might attract you to me,
instead of just hoping, that somehow, you would just notice me
and all my longing, for you.
If I had the power to make you, you'd long for me too.

If I were a droplet of your sweat, I'd know, the taste of your skin.
I'd know, every inch of your body, and not only, just what I've imagined.
If I could be the water in your bath, I could engulf you, like you've so engulfed me.
I could surround you with my love, warm, soothing, and worry free.
If this world was perfect, you'd be mine, all mine.
I'd be your kindred spirit, and your heart, be linked to mine,
but, all of these things, to pass, I can't bring;
So, of the Gods, I ask, this one thing,
that I be given the chance, hence, to prove to thee,
that I was made for you, and you were made for me!!!
