There was a young farmer by the name of Hosegood
Some cows he was droving, didn’t go where they should
So he sent in his dogs who went down the track
And Mr Hosegood waited … but they didn’t come back
So after a while he searched and he searched
And thought “Damn those dogs, left me in the lurch”
So he gathered a few others to help with his plight.
And finally gave up as it approached to the night
Four days now had come and went
And he thought for sure his dogs would be spent
The days were cool but the nights were freezing
He was totally puzzled at his dogs sudden leaving
Then on the fourth day a call he received
His dogs were found……Alive…. Who’d believe?
They had somehow fallen down a 15 foot drop
Now that would certainly cause their droving to stop
The bloke finally pulled them up to the edge
And one was so happy it hugged the blokes’ leg
Now their all home to continue their duty
And the adventure they had……well it was a beauty
