Susie's Fall

Suicide

Tonight,
Filled with fright,
You followed your every dream.
I guess it all worked out somehow,
In the grand scheme.
If I were to walk you down your path,
Would it be too hollow for mine to follow?
I find it hard today,
To look at what has gone away,
And to figure a path so shallow.
It is hard to take,
The simplicity of fate,
To all follow the tracks.
And it is hard to take with little faith,
That they all will lapse.
The rate at which we fall cannot be compared at all,
Except by the already fallen.
And only when we know it all,
And when we except our lowly small,
May we be the taller,
To follow ourselves down,
As just another faller.
