I would give it to him. I really would.
And not just because I think I should.
He is the best cat in town. The best one
all around. At times he stumbles onto
the floor. I can't hardly imagine him
not being around anymore. He's more
than an animal you see. He has been
a buddy to me. He's been sensitive,
kind and supportive for 16 years. And
has seen me through tough times,
and even tears.
I'll be there with him till the end. And if he
suffers, I'll need to let him go. But until then
he'll get the best from me, as that's what he
has always given.

Hi Sherry,
I love your sentiment here, the heart-felt & warm warmness with which you attend the love, that which was received & also given. It's truly a tremendous sadness that accompanies loss. Even/especially our pets, who become so dear, always hold a place in our hearts. I can truly relate. . . as I lost my cat of ll years the very day my daughter was supposed to be born (& he was a really cool cat). I surely grieved the 8 days in between that & her actual birth. I'm certain God ultimately knows what he's doing & I've grown to accept things more easily than I did when I was younger. Here's to the love & memory of all great friends, including the soft, loving, furry ones who know & love us so well.
