Red leaves

Contributed by psyonara on Wednesday, 16th April 2003 @ 12:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

(Darkness covers the trees)

I've been reading too many insinuations
That are stuck between millions of lines
There's no one out there to understand
What lives inside the walls of pain
Screams of knowledge try to underestimate
All the feelings that I need to let go

(Snow decorates the ground)

Past shadows fill gaps in my fading hopes
That struggle to stay above water and blood
But today another soul keeps listening
To what my marks and bruises left behind
Words of something deep inside reveal
All the feelings that you need to let go

(Red leaves fall, one by one)

Your eyes slowly close and you fall asleep
Silence covers all my ideas of turmoil inside
The ice starts melting and draining out
My heart heals stitch by stitch at the seam
Maybe there is someone who can understand
That all I need is someone who also knows

(They never reach the ground)

We watch as two weeks pass around two people
And give notice of a new start to things
For once I don't feel sorrow in my soul
Where only doubts and fears were in control
For once I'm able to breathe without choking
And the joy you give me makes me feel peace again

(They just keep falling)
