They called her Anastasia.
Anaesthesia is what she was.
She numbed me so completely
with her beauty,
almost flawed.
Perfectly devoted,
like a prayer I sang to her.
“Take me Anastasia.
Hold me ’til I’m warm”.
Years caressed Anastasia.
Anaesthesia ebbs and flows.
Numbness fails like beauty
yet devotion still remains.
Gathered up like satin,
warmth still in the embrace.
Take me Anastasia,
In your arms I belong.
