grandpa

So much death around
To much pain
To much sorrow
Death
That’s all nothing more
Nothing less

Truth
Pain in everyone eyes
Sorrow in their voices
Down on their knees to pray
One
Last
Time

Heaven
Hell
Earth
Dirt
Death

Why do we keep going on?
What is the point?
Doing everything over and over again
And we have too much death
Too much pain

In everyone’s eyes
That’s all you see
No more joy
No more happiness
If you do see it
It’s small
Very small

Though it is sometimes there
Just need to look
Once and a while open up
See the world and eyes all around you
See the pain
So it can help you in the long run
See the sorrow
So you can understand it better
See the death
So you can see IT and feel it deep down

Past the self you call outward
Through that one
Believe that one day you will see those you have lost
Even if you don’t believe
Try to think for once

Nothing ever comes easy
Nothing ever comes right away
Once you have it don’t lose it
Death will make you stronger if you let it
Will make you understand things better

It is up to you and only you
No one can tell you how to find it
Not a one can feel it for you
Not a single person can show you it

Better if you find out for yourself
Though we may have pain
And sorrow
And death
Believe it will make us strong in the end

Even if some of us don’t want it too
It will sooner or later
Better if you try and make it sooner
Better if you look deep down inside and see
It is there all the pain

The sorrow you have pushed deep down
Not wanting to deal with it
Not wanting to hear it
And not wanting it to make you stronger as a person
Are you scared?
Open up for once

And try and see
See everything that you have missed
Missed for the sorrow
Have clouded over your eyes
The pain has helped too
Little by little it has helped
Seal you up

And you cannot and will not break out
Of the mind prison you have on yourself
Again are you scared?
That his death will be the end of you
Though you didn’t get to say goodbye
It isn’t your entire fault

Move on but never forget never
Have him with you always
Deep inside
For
He
Is
Your
Grandpa

Love him always
And
Forever

A touching and deep piece. I hope writing this has been helpful for you. Grief is a painful place to be, but stay there as long as you need to. Thanks for sharing.
