Needles to say
when death has befallen you,
The reigns over your fate
That strangle-
Tear your neck like thorned chains,
will be broken.
No more will such
Blatantly insignificant faults
encumber you.
But the men who drove you,
who choked fear into you
and in doing so, brought you
So
Very
Close to your gun.
Your rope.
Your canvas to start again.
Those men are not in control.
The bliss of peace
should not come so close.
Struggle for living joy will resume.
Grasp your life
with your worn
solemn hands and pursue
your earthly happiness.
Redirect what others
have led astray.
Pay no mind to men who drive you so close to peace.

Excellent writing. I like the message here. It has a powerful theme about living for oneself and not letting others bring one down. Great poem. Powerful!
