Where are all the children that used to come and play.
I miss the noise that they would make, when they would come to stay.
I guess they have all grown up, with other things on their mind.
If I could only stop the clock, I would tell it not to chime.
I loved to watch them sit and play, with all their funny toys.
But now they have all gone to bigger and better joys.
They don't play with hot wheel cars, they give their own a whirl.
They have traded in their trading cards, for things that impress the girls.
I wonder where the years have gone, they seam so far away.
Where are all the children, that used to come and play.

This was nicely written, a pleasure to read. Time goes by so quickly it's difficult to accept that everyone grows old but they do, so instead of looking back it's best to, I think, take a day at a time and appreciate every moment.
Take care, Chris. |
