Letting Go

My eyes and mouth are shut out from the world.
I can’t speak and see, I am blinded by my faults.
I express with nothing more than hand signals.
Family and friends guide me though my hard times.
Some walk away without turning back, but others stay and help.
My fear right now is letting them go.
The people who stayed walked with me side by side, but soon fade away.
They say their farewells and slowly drift.
Letting go is something difficult to deal with everyday.
