  Social

divine.

Contributed by andrewjones12 on Monday, 14th June 2010 @ 08:48:07 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Power, control, and emotions.

all to feed the egotist self-indulgence.

Satisfied results bring an overwhelming sense of reassurance.

That there will be another day,

when loathing is the debris of its wrath occurrence.

Another day.

Another hello.

Another conversation about a meaningless dream...

But behind the smile awakes a dark and contorted obscurity,
that believes good is something only seen.

Pinning down the truth with uncertainty, immaturity, and blatant disregard for the hope of unity.

Confusing a misunderstanding with a realization of all the things that could be.
Figuring out what they wanted shades the real reason they have what they've already gotten.

Belittling bold face unspoken words to a smaller persuasive font.
Forming letters telling stories about everything that’s not.
Subtracting, Minimizing, and Reducing Fact.
Forgetting and contradicting there flawless seducing act.

The monster is revealed to the eyes of the blind.
now its finally seen,
that the monster is so....

Divine.

the style of this poem is perfect--i like how it builds and builds on the idea of these people taking the opportunity to open their minds for granted (at least that's my take). great job!
