The Deadness Dawn

Contributed by Lee on Friday, 11th June 2010 @ 06:51:48 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

I've been on the brink of life
caught the end of the passing light
swarmed inside this crimson void
all inside me falls to be destroyed

i see your light
i see your day
i'm not about to
give into the wraith

o keeper of the dawns
pull me out of life as the curtain is drawn
bind me to your swollen eyes
casting pearls before these swine

i'm black as a rage
you're light has no day
i'm tossed to the side
which one, can't decide

i'm feeling a deadness dawn
I'm feeling, i'm feeling
i'm feeling a deadness dawn

gallop does the skinless horse
i've been pulled by its calling force
on the way to a time been set
when that'll be is anyone's guess

i'm close to the cave
where the light has no day

i'm feeling the deadness dawn
i'm feeling the deadness dawn
i'm feeling the deadness dawn
i'm feeling, i'm feeling
i've fell to the deadness dawn

o keeper of the deadness dawn
i've fallen to beseech upon
you're gazing into my time
you're day has no light

the deadness dawn, the deadness dawn
the deadness dawn, the deadness dawn
the deadness dawn, the deadness dawn
the deadness dawn, the deadness dawn

the deadness dawn, the deadness dawn
the deadness dawn, the deadness dawn

the body, gone

Love love love! I'm guessing by the format that this is intended to be a song? It's fantastic. Keep writing!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
