The rain drops are falling

I’m sitting in the eerie silence of my empty house.
Reminiscing, just reminiscing
I’m accompanied by the violent rain as it pummels my dining room window
Tip tip tap. Tap tap tapping relentlessly.
The rain drops thump the glass then race their way to the bottom
Swerving slipping and sliding as they go...
My memories of the past are washed away as the rain stops
The grey clouds clear away and so does my mind
Trouble free,
Now.
Not in my daze, I’m back to reality.
