Technology killed love,
and severely maimed social interaction.
The most important words that should have
been said, never ventured past your lips,
left only to be expressed by your
emotionless fingertips.
The sound of a beating heart, replaced
by static electricity in your chest,
Kisses have been condensed into
cute digital faces, and true laughter
can now be expressed in three simple letters:
L-O-L.
Cellular phones attached to your hands and ears,
like malignant growths;
this world has become filled
with vicious monsters with blue teeth.
A concrete forest with streetlight stars;
Make a wish.
I give you my heart, and you suck
all the electricity from it.

Wow, I bow to you. I don't think I've ever before heard this malignant technological age summed up quite so eloquently! A concrete forest with streetlight stars: Make a wish I give you my heart.
Genius :) |

How true, how true. It's also infected poetry with the onslaught of text message spelling.
Damn well expressed. |

I like this, and of course the irony in using the net to publish. It's a very true poem and I like the point of expressing things verbally, as oppossed to using "emotionless fingertips".
Well done, thanks for posting. |

Dear LizSucks,
True to the core I feel
Still technology helps
See this e-mail mode
Somewhere one lives
My emotions now reach
It speaks what I think
Perfect delivery made
Remarkable, incredible
Still the poet is right
A strange sorrow exists
Thank God, Your creation
Is doing great achievement
A really nice write I agree.
With best wishes, Thanking you, Yours truly,
M V VENKATARAMAN

I understand what you are saying and you have put it so well. An amazing poem. However i feel the laziness of people only make technology concour all. |
