HEY LITTLE GIRL
Hey little girl,
With gel in your hair,
Unlocking your locks and curl,
Though extraordinarily beautiful,
Only as deep as the skin,
Covering a multitude of sin,
In the heart of your soul, you are full of fear and turmoil,
Shaken by by life’s, deep dark depression and furious recoil,
Hear the voice of reason:
Cover yourself,
Clothing yourself in the glory that is yours,
Cutting off the exposure,
Which has entered through your balcony doors-
Don’t allow the world to peep into the secret of your closet,
Seeing all your treasures and delight,
Keep yourself for the beauty of your wedding night,
Though badgered by the airways and covers of illicit magazines,
Look beyond the makeup and the magic of there airbrushed covers,
Holding true to the innocence of your childhood dreams-
Hey little girl,
With inviting eyes and an engaging smile,
Though gorgeous in appearance,
Full of wickedness and guile,
Don’t be destroyed by your mirror’s view,
For it has painted a distorted picture,
For your personal preview,
Chin up with focus ahead,
Keep yourself for the sanctity of your marriage bed,
Though already squandered you can recapture your glory,
Rewriting the ending to your fairytale’s eternal story,
For surely, you are a princess striving to become a Queen,
Stay strong standing defiantly in the light’s eternal beam-
