burnt out. . .

your oriental strokes of suicidal typos
& devious zen chantings . . . of "what?"
once, seemed rituals of foreplay
now, pale nuances, that I can't stand
I'm no proofer, at your beck & call
or some silly desk top ornament
I'm not an intellectual
but you can't steal my mind
these scars, my recollection. . .
now, you can have your own
& even as our shadows tangle
like flung, ink-blot, psycho tests
the circle's, you left on my coffee table
prelude. . . a primal cord is struck
now, I'm dancing in your absence
a skinny, silhouette in the buff
let's test our optimism
can we even say we can. . .
I'll smile & wish you well
the rest. . . you're on your own
I've nothing in my closet
but a skeleton of trust.

Hi Elle,
A fine illustration on how to say goodbye!
Full of intelligence and finality!
Well said.
