LoveRemembered
|
Words that echo in my mind...
Of a day when love was so new...
The scent of your cologne left behind...
On my pillow reminds me of you...
When you laid beside me it felt so right....
Your gentle hands how they caressed my skin...
Please don't go...stay the night...
The love we shared has no sin...
Miles that may lie between us...
The roads we have travelled to be by each others sides...
My love for you is deeper and I must confess...
I know now what I didn't know then...
"I want to be your bride"...

I get a sense of youth. There are few moments that are left intact at the throes of love. Even the fond memories grow bitter in the end.
All in all it's good, if not a little naive (or at the very least the sense of naivety, which isn't necessarily a bad thing)
And yes, I have traveled for love. Didn't work out. Love very rarely travels with us, only what we think is love remains.
Perhaps i am embittered.
Keep writing
Always, abraham |
